François J. Demange, a.k.a. Metsa Nihue

My name is François J. Demange and Metsa Nihue was the name given to me by the spirits during an ayahuasca ceremony. That is what my teacher told me at the time when I became an apprentice in the art of healing with Ayahuasca in the Peruvian Amazon in 1996.

The Renaissance of entheogen, the incredible tools they represent for personal growth, healing and transformation, and the opportunities to participate in psychedelic therapies or ceremonies have made the work of coaching into preparation and integration an essential tool to navigate a world new to us.

We are seeing an explosion in the popularity and use of psychedelics but Western culture lacks the roots of traditional wisdom and language in working with these medicines. Ayahuasca, psilocybin, peyote, and other plant medicines are part of long lineages of spiritual practices and healing methods.

As a family man and the father of 5 children I found myself rooted in a pragmatic relationship to life. I do have the privilege at 57 years old to have studied plant medicine, ayahuasca ceremonies and indigenous rituals from different lineages for the last 27 years. I have participated and led more than 1500 ayahuasca ceremonies, helped hundreds of people prepare, understand and integrate their experiences. Accredited by many scholars in the field of psychedelic study and by leaders in organizations dedicated to research in these fields, I am proud to say that I am a Reiki master healer and a Sun Dancer with the Dakota Tipi Nation of Canada. I am initiated in the Bwiti healing art and ceremonies of the Iboga tradition of Gabon, and part of the Native American Church of the Dene Nation.

I bring these lineages and practices together in ceremony and teaching modalities to provide a powerful healing transmission and an awakening process for our western culture to tap into a collective consciousness resonance rooted in everyday life reality.
